The Start of the Birthday Fortnight!

Today was the start of my 'Birthday Fortnight' and it was such a lovely day.  The sun was shining down on us, so fingers crossed that lasts the fortnight too!

Having had a birthday BBQ every year since my 2nd Birthday it would have been wrong not to have one this year, despite the fact I'll be away for my actual birthday.

There was a lovely mix of family and friends, and there were loads of little cousins tearing around the garden in the sunshine, so it was perfect.  I got thoroughly spoilt, had cuddles with baby Ayrton and had a generally lovely time.

We were celebrating Piper's Birthday too as her actual Birthday is tomorrow - so there were two rounds of 'Happy Birthday' this year!  I was more than happy to share the candles on the cake - there was rather a lot, not so sure that I'm so happy with being 33 - it looked rather a lot of years when represented by candles!

The Nearly Birthday Girls

Nicola and I had a lot of fun with Cards doing readings for family and friends.  Some of whom were a little sceptical - although they were soon convinced when they saw how accurate it was.  Everything is looking bright for the future, the only way is up and the glass is most definitely half full.  Happy days!

A Lovely Sunny Saturday in London Town

I spent my Saturday in London with some girls from Hertfordshire Social Stuff.  We went to The Museum of London to see the London Street Photography exhibition.  Its well worth a visit, I'd thoroughly recommend it.  If you like photography and like London history then pop in when you are next in town, its running until September 4 and has free entry.  There are over 200 images of London life, captured by Street Photographers.    More information can be found on the Museum of London Website.

We then took a stroll through the City in the sunshine and I was busy snapping pics myself, no change there then!

St Paul's looked stunning in the sunshine

So did St James Park with the London Eye in the distance

This street sign made me smile a big smile - the amount of times I've walked through The City and never seen this street.  How could I have missed it.

But my favourite photo and sighting of the day has to be this one

A beautiful vintage car, waiting for the bride and groom at St Paul's Cathedral.  It was super cute.  What a special wedding venue St Paul's is - lucky bride.  I had a twinge of wedding envy!

Samuel Johnson famously said "When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life, for there is in London all that life can afford"  I think I am inclined to agree with him.  We have an awesome City.

Talking Spirit

Just back from an amazing demonstration of mediumship by Clare Teale and Alan Albiston from Talking Spirit.  I am so into all things spiritual, guess I always have been and have always known, just needed my eyes reopening to it all.  Thanks to Nicola and a lovely lady called Joan, that happened and now all sorts of wonderful things are occurring.

Its so special to see people get messages from loved ones, and sometimes hilarious too.  Tonight a lady had her father come through and he was telling her off - not in a mean way - she was laughing hysterically - but he was actually telling her off through the medium.  Very amusing, I think he succeeded in getting his point across quite nicely.

Talking Spirit are fabulous.  Clare Teale and Alan Albiston are really special special people which such lovely souls, their energy is infectious and inspiring.  I love the fact that Alan always gets animals come through to him, he dances about as dogs weave their way around his legs, ducks as low flying parrots and budgies come though and looked more than slightly nervous when he got a giraffe come through for me.  Its a true gift and one I hope I can develop fully.  I'm yet to meet Tracy who co-owns Talking Spirit with Clare, as she is based in Kent.  I'm pretty sure our paths will  cross soon enough.

More information about Talking Spirit and upcoming events can be found at: www.talkingspirit.com
